Welcome to KPNP 1600 AM-Radio Diverse, a local radio station devoted to bringing high quality and professional ethnic radio programming to the Diverse Community in the Metropolitan Region, Minnesota, through the used of radio and internet.

The Metropolitan Region is a popular area for the diverse community, has been home to thousand of immigrates and refugees from Asian to Somalia in the past 30 years. The  numbers of immigrates and refugees coming into this beautiful Metropolitan Region are growing by day, week, month, and year as we are reading this plan. 

As one can see, the human landscape of Metropolitan Region are changing. A few examples, the Asian population is growing and Somalia community move in, thousands each year.

Because of the diverse community in this beautiful Metropolitan region, we are dedicated to create Radio Diverse 1600 AM to serve the underserved, the Diverse Community. Can one believe, still today no radio station is exclusively  designed to serve the demands of the diverse community in this beautiful Metropolitan Region. 

We strongly believe radio and internet remain the easiest and most effective way to reach the Diverse Community. So our ultimate goal is to develop the first radio station to broadcast the diversity population in this area..

We already using the Side Band of Minnesota Public Radio 89.3 FM to provide such demands to the Hmong and Laotian Community in Minnesota and West of Wisconsin and Hundred of businness, community leaders, political parties, pries, sisters from local to international have come to our program to distribute their messages to the Hmong and Laotian Community. With Radio Diverse 1600 AM, we intend to broadcast with a much larger audience to included the Cambodia, Chinese, Somalia, Vietnamese, and other ethnic community.
